These large format drawings are made with the simplest of materials: powdered charcoal applied with cotton balls, cotton swabs and then manipulated with fingertips and erasers. The subjects of the drawings are primarily imaginary, although loosely based on actual places. When I first moved from the city to our rural home, I became reacquainted with the night. I continue to be fascinated by the mysterious and transformative quality of moonlight. |
